Alaskan Frontiers: Innovating Affordable Healthcare In Remote and Extreme Environments
Anchorage, Nome
Join us for a journey to Alaska to explore the innovative solutions required to provide affordable healthcare in remote and extreme environments. In our winter quarter class and subsequent spring break trip, we will learn about Alaska’s unique healthcare challenges, explore the innovative solutions being implemented, engage with the local organizations that improve healthcare access, discuss public health policies, and gain hands-on experiences with service projects. Is Alaska's model of healthcare a valuable lesson for other extreme environments?
