Farmworker and Immigrant Health throughout Central California

Central Calfornia

This trip is intended to provide a broad overview of systemic injustices faced by immigrants and farmworkers throughout California with a focus on healthcare. Through speaking with community leaders and organizations like the United Farm Workers Foundation, our group will gain insight into issues faced by farmworker and immigrant groups. In addition, we will examine current solutions implemented by politicians and local organizations to better understand how these solutions can be improved and furthered. Given the multifaceted nature of immigrant communities, participants will journey throughout California, starting in the Bay Area and going through Central California down into Southern California.

Eva Matentsian

Hi! I am so excited to co-lead Farmworker & Immigrant Health. Participating in this transformative trip last year made me eager to share its impact and inspire others. Having immigrant and farmworker grandparents, I am driven to address health inequities faced by immigrant and farmworker families and advocate for lasting change.
